Messe Dusseldorf Int'l Wire & Cable Trade Fair April 12-16, 2010 ~ Germany
The 2010 WIRE show located at Dusseldorf's Messe, was once again the focus of wire and cable industries from all over the world.  This year the show was attended by Hipotronics and Haefely engineers David Hilder, Robin Fischer, Peter Schikarski and Matt Waltz

At the show, Hipotronics & haefely displayed the DDX series partial discharge detector as well as Tettex's newly released 2840 Tan Delta measuring system.  The equipment was well received by customers and the 2840 drew extra attention due to its unmatched accuracy, resolution and user friendly touch screen. 

Hipotronics & Haefely look forward to the next WIRE show where we, the world leaders in high voltage test equipment, will continue to display our innovative products.

This years PowerTest Electrical Maintenance and Safety Conference was held in Long Beach, CA at the Long Beach Convention Center on Tuesday, February 16th.  Both attendance and expectations were high with technical discussions everywhere you looked.  The Hipotronics booth was manned by Nathan Personius, Sales Engineer and our local California Representative, Young & Company.  We displayed our redesigned 880PL-10MA-A DC Hipot, OC60E/P-A and OC60D-A Oil Dielectric Test Sets, 7BT60-A Vacuum Bottle test Set, and the 5478-A Terra Ohmmeter.  We are looking forward to next years show in Arlington, VA.

This years ICUEE show was held at the Kentucky Fair & Expo Center in Louisville, KY.  Attendance was down from 2007 due to the current economic situation, but those who attended were full of purpose and to make the best out of a tough economy.

Manning the HIpotronics booth were Michael Kellas, Regional Sales Manager and Nathan Personius, Sales Engineer.  Business was good however as we were reunited with old friends and introduced to new.  We look forward to the next ICUEE show in 2 years.

This year Hipotronics exhibited with Hubbell Power Systems/AB Chance and was manned by Nathan Personius, Sales Engineer displaying our 5250 Cable Fault Locating System.  The tradeshow was well attended by Lineman from all over the country who were interested in learning about what products were being offered and seeing some new tools-of-the-trade.  We look forward to coming back next year for all of the fun and friendly competition that is the International Linemans Rodeo.

IEEE PSES Symposium October 26-28, 2009 ~ Toronto, Ontario Canada

The Haefely EMC sales team was present once again at the annual IEEE PSES Symposium held in Toronto, Ontario, Canada.  The first PSES Syposium held outside the US was well attended by professionals both locally and from the States.  On display at our booth was the ECOMPACT4 Transiemt Immunity Test System along with our Electrostatic Discharge simulator, the PESD3010.

The Haefely booth was well represented by our EMC Applications Engineer, Brian Bolz along with our local area representative from Interfax Systems, Mark Diercks.

Haefely EMC is once again scheduled to attend next October's Symposium being held in Boston, MA.

Haefely EMC once again followed the tradition of exhibiting at one of the largest North American EMC tradeshows of the year, the 2009 IEEE EMC Symposium held at the Austin Convention Center in Austin, Texas.  All three items on display received much attention which included the ECOMPACT4 Transient Immunity Test System, the PSURGE 8000 Platform controller with the PIM100 combination waveform module, and the PESD3010 30kV Electrostatic Discharge Simulator which was shown in action throughout the week. 

Representing Haefely EMC was Brian Bolz, EMC Applications Engineer, along with Ryan Bares, the North American Regional Sales Manager and EMC Product Manager, both who operate out of our Brewster, NY facility.

Haefely EMC will again be present next year at the IEEE EMC Symposium in Fort Lauderdale, FL.

This years show was held in St. Louis, MO at the Americas Center downtown. Even though the attendance was down from last year, the people that showed up were not deterred by the down turn of the economy and were there to conduct business.  The Hipotronics booth was tended by Bill Hudson, Senior Product Engineer of our power product systems, and Michael Kellas, Regional Sales Manager.  Business was good and old friendships were renewed. We look forward to attending next years show in Orlando, FL.

With the growing interest & need for alternative energy, this years AWEA Conference at the McCormick Center in Chicago, IL turned out to be a great opportunity for Hipotronics.  Our focus was on cable fault locating for wind farm service & support providers, along with immunity testing according to IEC & IEEE standards with our EMC product line.  On display were the Hipotronics 5250-30-A Cable Fault Locator & the Haefely EMC ECOMPACT4. 

We were pleased to display with Hubbell Power Systems and plan to attend the 2010 AWEA event in Dallas, TX.  Please stop by and visit us.

Again this year the Hubbell High Voltage Test Business (HHVTB) comprised of Hipotronics Inc., Haefely high Voltage Test, Tettex instruments, and Robinson Instruments was present at the 2009 Distributech COnference & Exhibition in San Diego, CA. 

Distributech is one of the largest shows for our industry where we displayed multiple items.  Our portable power factor test system, the MIDAS, designed for testing transformers, cables and more was on display along with our multiple channel partial discharge abd RIV system, the DDX9121.  In addition to these items, several Haefely EMC units were displayed including the ECOMPACT4 compact immunity tester, the PESD 3010 electrostatic discharge simulator and the PSURGE8000 Platform controller with PIM150 damped oscillatory waveform module.

Representing HHVTB were Sales Engineer Matt Waltz and EMC Applications Engineer Brian Bolz.

IEEE PSES (EMC) ~ Longmont, CO

The Haefely EMC sales team was present once again at the annual IEEE PSES symposium held in Austin, Texas. The symposium was well attended by professionals in the area and a wide range of compliance topics were presented. The ECOMPACT4 Transient Immunity Test System was primarily discussed at our table during the exhibition. Also on display was our Electrostatic Discharge simulator, the PESD3010.

Our North American Regional Sales Manager and EMC Product Manager, Ryan Bares, was once again present at the exhibition along with our new EMC Applications Engineer, Brian Bolz.

Haefely EMC is again scheduled to attend the next symposium located in Toronto, Ontario, October 2009.

Once again the Haefely EMC sales team was present at the annual IEEE EMC syposium held in Detroit, Michigan. One of the biggest EMC shows in North America, Haefely EMC displayed all of its latest test equipment. Again, the ECOMPACT4 Transient Immunity Test System was of much interest to the attendees. Also on display was the PSURGE8000 Platform controller with the PIM150 damped oscillatory waveform module.

Representing Haefely EMC was Alex Straumann, Sales Manager from headquarters in Basel Switzerland along with Ryan Bares the North American Regional Sales Manager and EMC Product Manager.

Haefely EMC will again be present next year at the IEEE EMC Symposium in Austin, Texas.

This year the Hubbell High Voltage Test Business (HHVTB) comprised of Hipotronics Inc, Haefely High Voltage Test, Tettex Instruments, Haefely EMC and Robinson Instruments proudly displayed alongside Hubbell Power Systems at the 2008 IEEE T&S show in Chicago IL at the McCormick Center.

The IEEE T&D show is the largest show for our industry where we displayed multiple items including our portable power factor test system the "MIDAS" (short for Mobile Insulation Diagnostic Analysis System), designed for testing transformers. In addition to the MIDAS we also displayed our new multiple channel partial discharge and RIV system, the DDX9121 which is suitable for lab and field use. Plus our newly re-packaged AC & DC hipots were on display.

The HHVTB was represented by Utility Regional Sales Manager - Mike Kellas, Industrial Regional Sales Manager - Matt Lawson, EMC Regional Sales Manager - Ryan Bares, and our Marketing Manager - Melissa Fiorello.

We look forward to presenting again in 2010 at the IEEE T&D show in New Orleans.
