Partial Discharge

We offer a broad range of partial discharge solutions ranging from simple discharge meters to digital detectors with diagnostic capabilities. Applications covered include screened environments, open factories, on-site testing diagnosis.

DDX9101

The DDX 9101 is the effective solution for routine pass/fail partial discharge testing. It has the basic functions of an analog detector and meets all IEC and IEEE/ANSI standards for partial discharge testing. It’s a straightforward replacement for older analog detectors of any make or model. The DDX 9101 simply measures the level of PD and the applied test voltage. It’s designed to help you modernize your testing facility at an affordable price and, it’s simple to operate.

DDX9121

The DDX 9121 partial discharge detector is the perfect solution for multi-phase partial discharge testing.  The system comprises multiple, rack-mounted PD measuring units communicating with a remote PC, which handles the display of PD information using an advanced data acquisition and remote control software. The PC displays test results, provides means of calibrating the system, and logging of the results into a test report.  The channels can be used in multiple configurations together or as stand-alone detectors. Multiple, independent channels also mean inherent redundancy in case of a failure of one insert.

CIC & PSF

The PSF & CIC are used in many of the PD test systems we sell. The Power Separation Filters (PSF) range in values of 25kV/1nF all the way up to 400kV/4nF. They allow for a PD free constant connection in the high voltage circuit and can be used as the interface between the circuit under test and the PD detectors. The Calibration Injection Capacitors (CIC) range in values from 25kV/100pF to 300kV/100pF which are used to inject a calibrated level of Partial Discharge into a circuit for detector calibration under varying loads.

The Miniature Partial Discharge Simulator is a compact, battery operated discharge simulator. It injects a known PD signal into a PD test circuit to allow verification of calibration. It can be used to check any partial discharge detection installation where a PD detector has a measuring frequency less than 500 Khz.

A function switch selects a partial discharge level to be injected into the test circuit. The unit also incorporates a fine frequency control for synchronizing to a multiple of the mains frequency.  An LED indicates the condition of the battery.
