• This year’s Southeastern Electric Exchange Annual Conference and Trade Show was held at the Peabody Hotel in sunny Orlando, Florida. The sessions were informative and it was very exciting to hear about the all of the high profile projects tackled by each utility and how they will affect the power grid of tomorrow. Nathan Personius with Hipotronics, Inc. attended the trade show sharing a booth with Hubbell Power Systems and displayed the all new PT-30, the only 30kVA Temporary Secondary Service Restoration Unit on the market. We at Hipotronics look forward to the SEE Conference (And possibly catch a Braves game) for 2012 in Atlanta, Georgia.

• The 2011 GUNZ Hotline School in Gonzales, TX was once again a success despite the abnormally with field training in both primary and secondary fault location, and we at Hipotronics were proud to help teach the new lineman techniques to make their jobs safer and easier plus offer a refresher to the veterans who attend the show yearly. Hipotronics would also like to thank Danny WIlliams for once again inviting us to participate in the event. We will see you again next year!

• Hipotronics attended the CIRED 2011 International Conference and Exhibition in Frankfurt Germany. We joined forces with our sister company, Haefely/Tettex displaying products from both companies. Working the Haefely booth was Britta Altenburg, Haefely/Tettex Mardeting Coordinator, Richard Schomper, Tettex Project Manager and Robin Fischer, Haefely/Tettex Regional Sales Manager.
• IEEE EIC - Electrical Insulation Conference June 5-7, 2011 Annapolis, MD Booth# 12
• Hipotronics Inc. represented the Hubbell High Voltage Test Business at this year’s IEEE Electrical Insulation Conference in Annapolis, MD. The Hipotronics booth was hosted by Matt Duplessis, Sales Engineer for the Tettex product line. Hipotronics made the North American debut of the new Tettex 2293 winding resistance meter. The unit attracted much attention and was well-received by those that stopped by the booth and attended the new product presentation. We also displayed the 880PL-10MA-A, 80kV DC Hipot, and the OC60D, 60kV Oil Dielectric Tester. Hipotronics looks forward to attending IEEE EIC 2013!

• MESA Hotline School Grand Junction, CO
• This year’s Mesa Hotline School was once again held in beautiful Grand Junction, Colorado nestled between the majestic Grand Mesa and the vibrant Colorado National Monument, two of the most spectacular wonders of the state. The two weeks of the hotline school were filled with learning opportunities for the attending Apprentice and Journeymen Linemen in both overhead and underground applications. Michael Kellas and Nathan Personius attended as instructors for the Field Training and Practical on Underground Primary Fault Location Techniques for Hipotronics. Hipotronics was also proud to use the Mesa Hotline School as the debut of our new Demo Sprinter Van! We look forward to attending next year once again and are very glad to hear that it will be back in Grand Junction.

• NWPPA - Northwest Public Power Assoc April 5-7, 2011 , Reno NV Booth# 302
• The 2011 NWPPA E&O Conference was held in Reno, NV nestled in the beautiful Sierra Nevada mountain range from Monday, April 4th to Thursday, April 7th. The Hipotronics Booth was manned by Nathan Personius, Sales Engineer for the Utility Products Line. On display was the all new PT-30 Temporary Secondary Phase Restoration Unit - out on its maiden voyage in front of the public. Also displayed was the 5250-15-A 15kV Thumper and TDR system combination, the 880PL-10MA-A 80kV DC Hipot, the OC60D-A 60kV Oil Dielectric Test Set, the 2795 Transformer Turns Ratiometer and 5310 Frequency Response Analyzer both from the Tettex product line. We are looking forward to next year’s E&O conference to be held in beautiful Spokane, WA.
