Hipotronics was founded in 1962 in upstate New York, and the company is a subsidiary of Hubbell, Inc. (NYSE: HUBB) since 1992. Hipotronics, together with Haefely Test AG, Tettex Instruments and Robinson Instruments forms the Hubbell High Voltage Test Business.

A United States Department of Commerce “Exporter of the Year”, the Hipotronics business is truly global in scope, with exports comprising over 50% of annual sales and equipment in nearly 100 countries worldwide.

The Hipotronics headquarters in Brewster, NY is home to over 100 engineers, technical salespeople and application engineers, service technicians, manufacturing personnel and customer service specialists. The Hubbell High Voltage Test Business operates manufacturing facilities, product development centers and sales/service offices on three continents.
